Fishing Guide Rates:
If you wish the services of a local fishing guide, we
would be happy to refer you to a number of local experienced
guides. Their rates range from $150/pp for 6 hrs fishing
to approximately $225/pp for full day fishing trips depending
on the species and exact fishing location. Fishing is
done on a number of local rivers including the Kenai and,
of course, halibut fishing is done out on the saltwater.
Directions to the lodge
for a Map)
There is only 1 road going South
out of Anchorage so this is easy. From
Anchorage, take the New Seward highway South approximately
1 1/2 hrs. where
the road splits. Do not go left to Seward. Take the right
branch of the
road toward Homer. You will be on the Sterling Highway
which you should
continue on until you reach the small town of Sterling.
After crossing the Moose River bridge and leaving Sterling,
take a left on Scout Lake Road. Approximately 2 miles
turn left on Huske Street. After about 1/4 mile you will
see the Kenai River - turn right on Betty Lou Drive. You
will see the Eagle Head entry logs about 200 yards down
the road on your left. The telephone at the
main cabin is (907) 262-9189 or (907) 250-5680 in case
you get lost.
